Bis
Les oeuvres bis (peaux) sont relatives à la question de la représentation. Tout a commencé avec une simple constatation: le cartel comme volonté de résumer en peu de mot une oeuvre, de la définir et de lui asséner un impact. Je me suis intéressée à la relation entre une oeuvre et sa représentation, son paratexte, son cartel.
Les bis sont des cartels non langagiers inspirés de techniques de restauration de la peinture et des questionnements autour des décollements de couches picturales, le but étant non pas de réparer l’accident mais de le révéler, de l’utiliser pour montrer les composants de l’oeuvre référante différemment assemblés. Bis (skins) works are about the idea of representation: it all started with a fairly simple thing, the link to the label, this obstinacy of the absolute definition, momentary, fleeting, to keep, in fact, an immediate effect, each work in few words. It is about the connection between the work and its representation, its paratext, what defines it, which will assign it an identity, a definition, meaning, context, something that represents it.
Bis are non-literary labels inspired by art restoration techniques about the pictorial coat detachment, the aim was not to fix but to disclose the accident and the accident revealed gives to see several components assembled in a new order. |
